This meeting will be held at the party headquarters in Chandigarh.

Amid the ongoing rebellion in Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal is going to hold a meeting with SGPC members today. This meeting will be held at the party headquarters in Chandigarh.

The current situation of the party will be discussed in this meeting. On the other hand, if sources are to be believed, the party chief is busy strengthening his hold on the pretext of this meeting. Earlier, he has held meetings with the women’s wing and other wings.

Rebellion started after the election results

The voices of rebellion within the party arose after the Lok Sabha election results. Because in the election, apart from SAD leader and party chief’s wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal, no one else could win the election. After this, the party called a meeting of the core committee in Chandigarh. Even before that, questions were raised about Sukhbir Badal’s leadership.

However, everything was in Sukhbir’s favor in the meeting. However there was opposition regarding the Akali Dal candidate for Jalandhar elections. After the nomination of the candidate, the seat was left for BSP. After this, the war going on inside the party came out.

Rebel faction reached Akal Takht

The rebel group of Akali Dal reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib in Amritsar on Monday. Here they presented themselves before Sri Akal Takht Sahib and gave an apology. In which Sukhbir Badal has apologized for 4 mistakes.

In which the mistake of forgiving Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim has been accepted. An apology has also been sought for not conducting a proper investigation of the sacrilege in Bargari of Faridkot in 2015. At the same time, the mistake of making IPS officer Sumedh Saini the DGP and giving ticket to the wife of Mohammad Izhar Alam has also been accepted.

The rebel group also met Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib in Talwandi Sabo. This group includes many Akali leaders including Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Bibi Jagir Kaur and others.
