Beef Seized from Amritsar Factory: 5 accused arrested; 5 women absconding

Police have recovered beef from a factory in Amritsar. Police had received information that beef was kept in a factory in the area.

Amritsar, July 12: Police have recovered beef from a factory in Amritsar. Police had received information that beef was kept in a factory in the area. Based on the information, police raided the factory. Police raided the factory based on information provided by members of the Gau Raksha Dal. The incident took place in the Chatiwind police station area.

When the police broke the lock of the factory with the members of the security force and searched inside, 165 boxes of beef were found in a big fridge. The police have arrested 5 people at the spot. Five women fled before the police arrived.

Gau Raksha Dal’s national president Satish Kumar said that Gau Raksha Dal has been working for cow protection for the last several years. They have registered cases against many cow slaughter gangs. He said that this factory belongs to a person named Imran. He had earlier set up this factory in Jalandhar. Then they raided there, but he somehow brought the goods here from the back gate or by breaking the wall and came here and set up a new factory.

But they were constantly doing their recce and got the address of this place also. They said that this is a very shameful act that the cow which they worship is being killed and its meat is being sold. The Gau Rakshaks have demanded strict sections for cow slaughter. Along with this, they have also demanded to form a separate security force for the Gau Rakshaks.

Chatiwind police station in-charge said that legal action has been initiated after taking the recovered material into custody. According to the police, this factory was on lease. Further action is being taken and the accused will be caught soon.
