According to the victim Mukesh Saini, he is a resident of Rajasthan and lives on rent near Kesar Dhaba here. He delivers parcels of jewellery. He was going towards the corridor with 5 parcels of jewelry in a bag when he reached the turn, 2 youths came on a bike and blocked his way. One youth got down and came to him and started snatching the bag, when he did not leave the bag, he took out a pistol and threatened to kill him. After this, he left the bag and the accused fled on a bike.

Police scanning CCTV footage

SHO Neeraj said that Mukesh Saini and Rupesh Saini are two brothers, who work as couriers near the Golden Temple. They courier gold abroad. Mukesh Saini was carrying a bag when he was robbed. From the manner of the robbery, it seems that the recce was done first. A case will be registered in this matter on the basis of Mukesh’s statement and CCTV footage is being scanned. The accused will be arrested soon.
