On 26th July 2024, during the midnight hours, the vigilant BSF troops on duty in the border area of Amritsar district observed suspected movement of a person coming from Pakistan side, who crossed the International border (IB) and further moved towards the border security fence.

In a swift response, the troops tactically approached near the intruder and apprehended him near the border fence at about 12:15 am. Upon preliminary questioning, the apprehended person revealed his identity as a Pakistani national. The intruder was apprehended in the area adjacent to village- Ratankhurd of district Amritsar.

During the search of the intruder 01 Mobile phone, 01 Pakistan National identity card, 01 Pendrive and Rupees 175 Pakistani currency along with other general nature articles were recovered from his possession.

After initial questioning by BSF and sister agencies, the Pak intruder was handed over to local Police for further investigation and to know about his intentions or motive for crossing the IB.

Vigilant BSF troops once again displayed their professional acumen with swift execution in apprehension of a Pakistani intruder crossing into the Indian territory.
