Amritsar CP busts inter-state crime syndicate, 5 held with huge cache of arms

Amritsar: In a bid to eradicate organized crime from the state, Amritsar Commissionerate Police have apprehended persons for running inter-state crime syndicate.

In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police arrested 5 persons for running an inter-state organized crime syndicate. Police also recovered 2 pistols, 8 live rounds.

As per the police, The arrested accused had procured weapons from Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. The arrested accused have been booked under Arms Act and Newly introduced section 111 BNS which punishes organised crime syndicates.

Preliminary investigations of the police revealed that they were planning to target a rival gang in Amritsar. More information about the arrested accused is awaited.
