Amritsar, May 23: Gharinda Police has achieved a major success in the campaign being run against drugs in Amritsar, Punjab. The police have arrested three accused. 3 kg of heroin and 2 9mm pistols have been recovered from the accused. This action was taken under the guidance of DGP Punjab Border Range Amritsar Satinder Singh and SSP Amritsar Rural Maninder Singh on the instructions of DGP Punjab.
Police raid based on secret information
Gharinda police, under the leadership of DSP Attari Lakhwinder Singh, arrested Daljit Singh alias Bhola, Pawanpreet Singh alias Monu and Karanjit Singh alias Karan. The head officer of the Gharinda police station had received secret information that the three accused are involved in the business of selling heroin and weapons. Based on the information, the police took action in Mode village. A Hero Pleasure moped has also been recovered from the accused.
Police started an investigation after registering a case
A case has been registered against the three accused under the NDPS Act and Arms Act. The police are investigating the other connections of the accused. Action will be taken against anyone whose involvement comes to light in the investigation.
