Amritsar Ranjit Avenue Firing: Parties opened fire over money dispute, 11 accused arrested

Amritsar: Under the instructions of Commissioner Amritsar Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and Mr Prabhjot Singh Virk the police party team achieved success by arresting the wanted accused in Ranjit Avenue firing case within few hours.  The police have now arrested 11 accused involved in the incident and a pistol and 22 cartridges have also been recovered from them.

Pistol recovered

Giving information in this regard, ADCP Prabhjot Singh Virk said that there was a dispute between the accused regarding the transfer of money. The dispute escalated due to which these bullets were fired by them.

 According to the information, there was a dispute over the transfer of money after receiving the visa for sending abroad. During which shots were fired indiscriminately and one person was seriously injured during the firing who was admitted to a private hospital in Amritsar. Police added that open fires were done by two parties with intention of killing each other.

The bullets were fired in such a forceful manner that the surrounding people saved their lives by rushing to their the houses, while the police have also reached the spot from which the bullet casings have also been recovered.
