Amritsar: In a major breakthrough, Amritsar rural police seized heroin in two different operations. Search operations were conducted by the Amritsar Rural police in which narcotics were recovered in substantial amounts. The information about the seizure of drugs was shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

The Amritsar rural police seized total 10 kg heroin in two different search operations. Two different operations were conducted in village Kamaske and village Manj.
Police also revealed that drones were used by smugglers to smuggle drugs from neighboring country Pakistan. The accused were linked with Pakistan-based drug smugglers. As per the police, an FIR under the NDPS act has been registered and investigations are going on to establish backward and forward linkages.
