Assaulted Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bhath’s Wife, Ex-Army officials protests in Patiala

Patiala: Ex-army personnel staged a protest outside the MIni-Secretariat in Patiala on Saturday, March 22, 2025., demanding justice for colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath. During the protest, the Army Colonel’s wife, Jasvinder Kaur Bath, accused the 12 police officials of brutally thrashing her husband and son, and demanded speedy justice.

The colonel was allegedly assaulted by 12 police officials over a parking dispute. Maharani Parneet Kaur, wife of former Chief Minister and BJP leader Captain Amarinder Singh, joined the protest along with former soldiers. She met with the administrative officials during the demonstration and addressed the media.

Maharani Parneet Kaur clarified that she was not participating in the protest for political reasons but as the wife of a former soldier. She expressed her support for the ex-serviceman and emphasized the need for an impartial investigation into the incident. She also called for strict action against those responsible for assault.

Additionally. she condemned the violence against farmers, calling it unfortunate that the country’s food providers were subjected to such treatment. She criticized the  current government, which she claimed had failed to live up to its promises.
