Hoshiarpur: In Hoshiarpur, a Police party was attacked by group pf people late at night. As per the information, police reached Mohalla Sundar Nagar in connection with a fight where migrant people were fighting among themselves.
When police tried to intervene and separate them, the angry mob attacked the police personnel and tore the clothes of a police employee who was in civil dress.
The video of this altercation between a police party and a group of people went viral on social media. After this 2 police officials ran away and saved their lives. This was reported to the outpost in charge, the police force swung into action and reached there.
While talking to the media, DSP Dev Dutt Sharma said that information was received that a fight was going on in Mohalla Sundar Nagar. Seeing this, 3 employees went there. When they were trying to intervene, the angry mob attacked the police. 3 cops have been injured. Around 20 people, including men and women, have been identified and FIR is being registered against them.
