Amritsar: An audio of an altercation between the former SHO of Ajnala police station under Amritsar Rural in Punjab and the outpost in-charge ASI has gone viral. Rude and abusive conversation between former SHO and ASI has gone viral. The police has started a departmental inquiry in the matter. The viral audio is between former SHO of Ajnala police station Balbir Singh and Chamiari police outpost in-charge ASI Kuldeep Singh. This entire argument is about not taking action against liquor smugglers.
In the audio clip, Balbir Singh can be heard talking about taking action against liquor smugglers, while outpost in-charge Kuldeep Singh is adamant about not registering a case without investigation. In the recording, both the officers first argue and then start abusing each other.
In the recording, Balbir Singh is asking ASI Kuldeep Singh to register a case against the smugglers, citing the DSP. On the other hand ASI Kuldeep is refusing to do so, saying that he cannot register a case without investigation.
ASI is saying that he will register a case against unknown persons and give the names later whereas Balbir Singh refuses and asks ASI to talk to DSP. During the conversation, ASI Kuldeep Singh says that SHO cannot talk to him like this.
After the audio went viral, senior officers also came into action. DSP Raj Kumar said that the audio recording is about three weeks old. In this case, the police has now registered a case against the liquor smugglers and suspended the Chowki incharge Kuldeep Singh.
