Average temperature increases as humidity level peaks, rain alert from July 17

According to the Meteorological Department, people will have to struggle with high humidity level for two more days.

Chandigarh: Due to the slowing down of the monsoon in Punjab, the heat has once again started gaining momentum. In the last 24 hours, the average temperature of the state has increased by 1.1 degrees for the third consecutive day, due to which the temperature of the state has become 1.6 degrees above normal.

According to the Meteorological Department, people will have to struggle with high humidity level for two more days.

According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, there is no forecast of rain in most parts of the state for the next two days i.e. Monday and Tuesday. But there may be rain at some places in the areas adjoining Himachal, although the chances of this are also very low. The temperature will increase further, due to which people will be troubled by humidity.

There are chances of rain on July 17. No alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department yet, but it is estimated that it may rain in half of Punjab on 17. Among these, there are chances of rain in Pathankot, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar and Nawanshahr of Punjab.

Pathankot’s temperature reached 39.9 degrees

The temperature of Punjab has once again reached close to 40 degrees. According to the maximum temperature on Sunday evening, Pathankot recorded a temperature of 39.9 degrees. While Patiala recorded a temperature of 38.2 and Gurdaspur recorded a temperature of 38 degrees. If the heat continues like this, then the temperature may cross 40 degrees today.
