Bathinda: Under the leadership of SSP Bathinda Deepak Pareek, Team of CIA Staff-2 Bathinda during patrolling and checking near Main Road Bathinda Bajkhana stopped a tractor trolley while checking a person on the basis of suspicion.
During the checking, 36 bags of poppy seeds totaling 510 kilos of poppy seeds were recovered from his possession and the said case was registered.
The accused was identified as Kuldeep Singh alias Keepa son of Malkit Singh, resident of village Jida, police station Nehiawala, district Bathinda.
So far, during the preliminary investigation, it has come to light that the said accused had to supply this drug in different districts of Punjab.
Today, this accused will be produced in the honorable court and remanded in police custody. More important revelations are likely to be made during the interrogation.
The forward and backward links of the said accused are being investigated.
