Bathinda lady constable Amandeep Kaur granted bail after month in jail

Lady constable Amandeep Kaur, posted in Bathinda Police Line and caught with heroin and later dismissed, got bail from the court on Thursday (May 1).

Bathinda, May 2: Amandeep Kaur, a former Punjab Police constable from Bathinda, was granted bail on May 1 after being arrested on April 2 for possessing 17.71 grams of heroin. She was released upon submitting a Rs. 50,000 bail bond. The arrest occurred on Badal Road in Bathinda when she attempted to flee during a police check. Authorities recovered the heroin from her vehicle’s gearbox. 

Following her arrest, Kaur was dismissed from service under the state’s anti-drug policy. Investigations revealed her involvement in a lavish lifestyle, including luxury vehicles and properties, raising questions about potential illicit earnings. The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) is examining her financial assets and connections to determine the extent of her involvement in drug trafficking.

Amandeep Kaur, known for her social media presence, had gained attention for flaunting her lifestyle online. Her arrest has prompted further scrutiny of her activities and associations within the police force.
