Bathinda: Rs 1.2 crore cash siezed from passenger in Bus

Bathinda: In a major breakthrough, Bathinda police in Punjab recovered Rs 1.20 crore from a person traveling in a bus in Punjab’s Doomwali village. The information was shared on the X handle of Punjab Police.


“During a nakabandi at Doomwali village, Bathinda Police (PS Sangat) intercepted a bus and recovered Rs 1,20,00,000 (One Crore Twenty Lakh Rupees) from an individual,” Punjab police India posted on X on Thursday.

“The person in possession of the cash failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for carrying such a large sum,” police said.

The cash has been handed over to the Income Tax authority for further necessary action, they added.
