Mansa: Before the panchayat elections that are slated to be held on October 15, panchayats and sarpanchs of 28 villages have been unanimously elected in Mansa.
Panchayats of 17 villages under Budhlada block of the district have been elected unanimously. Similarly, in the village Karimpur Doom of block Sardulgarh, the panchayat has also reached unanimity.
Mansa district has 245 villages and 1099 candidates filed their papers for Sarpanch candidates. Out of which 553 candidates have withdrawn their papers while 546 candidates are in the fray for the post of Sarpanch.
For the post of Panch, 2201 candidates filed their papers across their district, out of which 872 Panch candidates have withdrawn their papers while 1329 candidates are contesting the Panch election. 30 Sarpanchs have been elected unopposed with Sarb Samiti and also 1202 Panch candidates have been elected with Sarb Samiti.
