Chandigarh: Police have arrested five accused in the murder case of Jaspal Singh alias Shalu, who was shot dead near Bhogpur in Jalandhar about a month ago. In this, the main accused has been arrested by the police from Chandigarh Airport. A total of five illegal weapons have been recovered from the accused so far. The information about the Bhogpur murder case has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav.

DGP Yadav said that by acting swiftly on the forward and backward linkages, Jalandhar Rural Police have solved the Jaspal Murder Case of Bhogpur. The main accused has been arrested from Chandigarh International Airport by the Police team.
Police recovered five weapons from the main accused. Apart from the accused, the main supplier has also been arrested from Muzaffarpur in Bihar.
The police will soon produce the accused in court and take them on remand for interrogation. DGP Yadav assured that Stern action will be taken against all involved in organised crime & illegal weapon networks.
