Amritsar: Bibi Jagir Kaur, a member of the rebel faction of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), is reaching Sri Akal Takht Sahib today. Bibi Jagir Kaur’s name is also included in the orders issued to 17 former ministers of Akali Dal in Punjab. Many leaders including Sukhbir Badal, Manpreet Badal, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema have submitted their clarifications at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Bibi Jagir Kaur resigned from all the posts of Akali Dal before reaching Sri Akal Takht Sahib today. In the letter issued by Bibi Jagir Kaur, she wrote, “Everyone knows that Sri Akal Takht Sahib has sought clarification as a cabinet minister. On September 9, I am appearing at Sri Akal Takht Sahib for clarification. It is my heartfelt desire to leave all the posts of my party and present myself at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.”
She added that she has been made an advisor and executive member by the party but she is resigning from all my posts so that she can express her feelings as an ordinary Sikh.
Along with resigning from Akali Dal, Bibi Jagir Kaur has clarified that she will remain associated with Akali Dal Lehar. She wrote in her letter- Whatever orders will come from Shiromani Akali Dal Sudhar Lehar, I will follow them diligently and work as an ordinary worker.
