As per reports, the Punjab Government has suspended Muktsar Deputy Commissioner IAS Rajesh Tripathi IAS. Reports claimed that the IAS officer has been suspended based on some complaints against him.
Formal Orders in regard of suspension of Muktsar DC are awaited.
2016-batch IAS Rajesh Tripathi was transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Muktsar on August 16, 2024, in place of Harpreet Singh Sudan, IAS.
He was earlier serving as Additional Secretary, Revenue and Rehabilitation and in addition Director, Land Records, Settlement, Consolidation and Land Acquisition, Jalandhar.
Earlier today, the Punjab Government taking big action removed Punjab Vigilance Bureau Chief Varinder Kumar. Varinder Kumar has been removed and asked to report to Punjab DGP. In his place, G Nagaeswara Rao has been been given the charge. The removal has been seen in context of Punjab government recent order of no tolerance of corruption in the system.
