Fazilka: In a major breakthrough, Fazilka police apprehended 3 drug smugglers in connection with the Pharma Opioid Supply Network. As per the police, 3 accused were arrested along with 60,000 Tramadol (100mg) tablets — a major haul of intoxicating pharmaceutical substances. As per the police, a vehicle used for transportation has also been seized.An FIR under the NDPS Act has been registered at PS City Jalalabad.
Further investigations by the Fazilka police are underway to trace backward and forward linkages to dismantle the pharma drug syndicate.
DGP Gaurav Yadav assured that Punjab Police remains steadfast in its fight against organized crime and drug trafficking.
