Two bike-borne youths opened fire on a youth who had come to drink tea at Gate No. 2 of Thermal Colony in Bathinda on Monday morning. The youth was injured after being hit by two bullets, and the accused fled from the spot. The injured has been identified as Lalit Arora, a resident of Bathinda. The police, which reached the spot after the incident, have started the investigation.
SP City Narinder Singh said that Lalit had reached the gate of Thermal Colony to drink tea after a walk on Monday morning. Where two youths on a motorcycle opened fire on him. The SP said that the police team which reached the spot after the incident interrogated the tea seller and the people standing nearby and started the investigation. At present, the injured has been admitted to the Civil Hospital.
People present at the spot said that the unknown attackers fired six to seven bullets continuously at the youth. The youth was injured after being hit by two bullets. After this, the accused fled from the spot. At present, the police have registered a case against the unknown accused and trying to arrest them.
