Bike crashes on Sahnewal flyover, rider flung into air, falls to death on spot

The accident was so severe that after the collision, the bike rider fell about 100 meters away. Passersby gave first aid to the person soaked in blood. His family was informed. The injured was taken to a nearby private hospital but he died on the way.

The bike was shattered in the accident. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police of Sahnewal police station reached the spot. The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Chandrashekhar, a resident of Noorwala Road.

Vikrant, brother of the deceased Chandrashekhar, said that his elder brother worked as a gold valuer in a private bank located in Doraha. On Wednesday night, he was returning home on a bike after leaving the bank as usual. On the way, an unknown vehicle hit his bike near Sahnewal bridge. He died while being taken to the hospital.

At present, Chandrashekhar’s body has been kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital. The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem today.
