Bike rider collides with electric pole after plastic manjha stuck in neck, injured

At the time of the incident, Aryan was going from Mandi to Kamal Chowk.

In Jagraon, Ludhiana, a plastic manjha (string) got stuck in the neck of a bike rider. He tried hard to save himself, but due to the bike rider losing balance, he collided with a pole. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced.

The incident is from Mohalla Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar near Jhansi Rani Chowk. The name of the injured youth is Aryan Singh. Aryan’s head hit the pole, due to which his condition is critical. At the time of the incident, Aryan was going from Mandi to Kamal Chowk.

Suddenly, a plastic manjha got stuck in his neck, due to which his throat was cut and due to the bike losing balance, he collided directly with an electric pole. The collision was so strong that people nearby came out of their houses. While falling, Aryan’s head also hit the ground.

Passerby Harpreet Singh immediately took the injured Aryan to the hospital, from where he was referred to CMC Hospital in view of his critical condition. Aryan lives near the new Gaushala on Disposal Road and works at a shoe shop near Kamal Chowk.

Locals say that it is a matter of concern that plastic Manjha is being sold indiscriminately in Jagraon during the Basant Panchami season. The police have confiscated only seven Gattus so far, while dozens of plastic Manjha Gattus are being sold in the city every day.
