Amritsar: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Amritsar Lok Sabha and former ambassador of India to America, Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that if the people of Guru Nagar, including Punjab, want to change their future and the future of Punjab, they will have to choose that political party and candidate who is capable and can work for people.
Addressing a gathering of local residents at Sahaj Enclave on Kashmir Avenue, Sardar Sandhu said that drug addiction, unemployment, mafia, hooliganism etc. are the major problems of Punjab today, the solution of which every citizen of Punjab wants. Targeting opposition, Sandhu said that Congress, Akali Dal and Aam Aadmi Party fooled people by politicizing all these issues and marginalized these issues when they came to power.
Lok Sabha candidate Taranjit Singh Sandhu, while discussing his election motive with the residents of the area, said that with the support of the people of Amritsar, my purpose is to change the face of my Lok Sabha constituency and make Guru Nagar shine on the world map.
He said that for the multifaceted development of Punjab and Amritsar, the BJP has to be brought back to power at the center, for which the people of Punjab have made preparations this time.
He appealed to the people to take the message of development and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s schemes and policies door to door in their respective areas and inspire people to join the BJP. He said that since Amritsar is a border area, there is always a threat from anti-national forces. We have to deal with the enemies of the country and bring peace, progress and prosperity here. A large number of women arrived on this occasion. Sandhu thanked them profusely and invited them to come forward for the development of Amritsar.
