BJP leader Hans Raj Hans faces farmers wrath during campaign

Farmer leader further said that Sanyukt Kisan Morcha has called for complete boycott of BJP

Demru: As polls approach, political leaders of different parties are campaigning and seeking votes. But in Punjab, especially in villages, BJP political leaders are facing resistance from the farmers.

Today in village Demru of Moga, farmers union Ekta Ugrahan protested against BJP’s candidate from Faridkot, Hans Raj Hans. Heavy police force was present at the spot, yet Hans Raj Hans faced  the protest. He canceled his tour following which all the chairs were seen lying vacant as none of the villagers reached there.

Giving the same information, farmer leader said  “today under the banner of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, we have opposed Halka Faridkot BJP candidate Hans Raj Hans. The central government has cheated the farmers.” Citing the incident of Lakhimpur Kheri, he said that those who were to be punished were made candidates in the elections.

He further added that the demands of farmers on which the government agreed were never fulfilled.  On the contrary, they (the central govt) opened fire on the farmers and resorted to the lathi charge, and the farmers were also martyred.

Farmer leader further said that Sanyukt Kisan Morcha has called for complete boycott of BJP and if any BJP worker or leader comes to the village, he or she will be opposed in the same manner.

Union leader further appealed all to not vote for BJP. Talking about the protest, he said our farmers are sitting on the border the struggle will continue like this until their demands are met.
