Blow to illegal pharma opioids network: Over 1.7 lakh Clovidol-100 tablets recovered, one held

Carrying out the search operation, police held one person and also recovered nearly 1.71 Lakh Clovidol-100 tablets

Chandigarh: In a major blow to illegal pharma opioids supply networks, Punjab police have busted an inter-state network of illegal opioids. The said network used to operate from Rajasthan. Punjab Police apprehended one person involved in this network. The information has been shared by Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav. 

Carrying out the search operation, police held one person and also recovered nearly 1.71 Lakh Clovidol-100 tablets (Tramadol Hydrochloride based). 

Police have lodged FIR under NDPS act and a case has been registered at Police station Khuian Sarwar Fazilka. Police is further carrying out backward and forwards linkages to completely unveil the illegal pharma drug cartel.

DGP Yadav further assured that Punjab Police remains steadfast in its fight against organized crime and drug trafficking.
