Amritsar: In a major blow to the trans-border drug smuggling network, Amritsar Commissionerate Police have apprehended in total 3 persons and seized a considerable amount of narcotics. The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gauarv Yadav on his X handle.

In an intelligence-led operation, the Amritsar Commissionerate police strike a blow to trans-border narcotic smuggling. After getting input, Police apprehended 3 accused with narcotics. The recovered narcotics include, 1 kg Ice (Methamphetamine), 2.45 kg of heroin and 520 grams of pseudoephedrine.
Police have lodged FIR under the NDPS act at Police station Islamabad. Further investigation is going on to establish forward and backward linkages.
DGP Yadav affirmed that Punjab Police is committed to dismantle the drug network and make Punjab drug-free. More information about the persons arrested is awaited.
