The police reached the spot and took the body out of the drain with the help of fishermen and divers. Seeing the condition of the body, it is suspected that the person died 4 or 5 days ago. Tajpur post in-charge Janak Raj, who reached the spot, said that the body could not be identified.

It is suspected that this body has come floating from somewhere. The body seems to be about 5 to 7 days old. CCTVs of the area will also be checked. Nearby police stations will also be informed so that the deceased can be identified. No identity card of any kind has been found on the body. At present, the body has been taken into custody and kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital for 72 hours.
