Boost to Punjab Congress, Satinderpal Singh Tajpuri joins Congress

Ludhiana: Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring’s campaign in Ludhiana has received a big boost. The runner-up candidate from Ludhiana South, Satinderpal Singh joined the Congress.


He was inducted into the party by the Punjab in charge of the party Devinder Yadav and Warring here today. Amarinder Singh Raja Warring shared this information on X.

He said, “Happy to welcome Satinderpal Singh Tajpuri ji into the @incpunjab fold hours before Shri @RahulGandhi Ji’s scheduled rally at Dakha. Tajpuri ji was @BJP4India candidate from Ludhiana South during the 2022 assembly elections. With the blessings of the people of Ludhiana we are headed towards a massive victory in the upcoming elections.”

In the 2022 assembly elections, Satha who contested as a BJP candidate from Ludhiana South, was the runner-up who lost to the Aam Aadmi Party candidate.

Who is Satinderpal Singh?

Satha belongs to a prominent political family of Ludhiana. His father Jagdev Singh Tajpuri was a cabinet minister in Punjab government.
