Amritsar: In a major development, Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh has ordered the expulsion of Virsa Singh Valtoha. Akal Takht has ordered SAD to expel Former MLA Virsa Singh Valtoha from the Akali Dal for 10 years. Akali Dal working president Balwinder Singh Bhudar has been ordered to expel Virsa Singh Valtoha from Akali Dal for 10 years.
Today, Virsa Singh Valtoha reached Akal Takht Sahib as he was summoned by the Jathedars of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to appear today with evidence related to the accusations on Jathedars that he made publicly through media.
Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) spokesman and former MLA Virsa Singh Valtoha had expressed doubt as to whether Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedars have been under the influence of the RSS and the BJP, attributing such external influence to “the delay in punishing” Sukhbir Singh Badal after the Jathedars declared him guilty of religious misconduct.
In an interview to a YouTube channel, Valtoha leveled allegations against Takht Damdama Sahib Jathedar. He stated, “There is no doubt to anybody that Giani Harpreet Singh has connections with central govt, RSS and specifically Amit Shah. He has been talking to him directly. A message was conveyed to him, and may be other jathedars also, directly. Those very close to him talked to me. Those close to other jathedars have also confided in me,” said Valtoha.
And today after the meeting, the Akal Takht Sahib ordered Shiromani Akali Dal to expel Virsa Singh Valtoha from the party and impose ban of 10 years on him. Sri Akal Takth Sahib Jathedar Gaini Raghbir Singh briefed the orders given by them to expel Virsa Singh Valtoha from Akali Dal for 10 years.
