Amritsar: On 12th Dec’ 2023, during afternoon hours, on specific information regarding the presence of narcotics items, a Joint search Operation was launched by BSF and Punjab Police on the outskirts of Village – Rattankhurd, District – Amritsar (R). Further, during the search operation, at about 03:30 pm, 02 packets of contraband item suspected to be Heroin (Gross Wt – appx 1 Kg) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape along with 01 mini torch, 01 nylon rope and steel ring attached with the packets were recovered from the farming field adjacent to Village – Rattan Khurd. Yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics was foiled by BSF and Punjab Police.
