Amritsar: On 06th Dec’ 2023, during evening hours, on specific information regarding drone, BSF troops intercepted a suspected drone as well as heard some dropping sound near Village – Ranian, District – Amritsar (R). As per the laid down drill, BSF troops immediately reacted.
Further a Joint search Operation with Punjab Police was carried – out in the depth area. During the search, at about 08:43 pm, troops recovered 01 small packet of contraband item suspected to be Heroin (Gross wt – 400 Gms), wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, a nylon string attached & a luminous strip, from the farming field near Village – Ranian.
Yet another attempt of smugglers to smuggle narcotics through drone was foiled jointly by BSF troops and Punjab Police.
