The Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested two Indian smugglers, foiling a major conspiracy of arms smuggling on the international border in Punjab. Two pistols, two magazines, and a motorcycle have been recovered from the smugglers. A drone (DJI Air 3S) has also been recovered from the Tarn Taran district in a joint operation by BSF and the Punjab Police.
Based on the information, the BSF team conducted an ambush operation at several places near Bachiwind and Kakkar villages in the Amritsar district. During this, two smugglers were nabbed. Two pistols, two magazines, and a motorcycle were seized from the arrested accused.
These smugglers had recovered this consignment from the border. But the BSF was already keeping an eye on their suspicious movement. As soon as the opportunity came, the BSF caught both the smugglers.
BSF and Punjab Police, in a joint operation, recovered a high-tech DJI Air 3S drone while acting on information of a suspicious activity in Tarn Taran district. This drone was probably being used for smuggling.
BSF has described these successful operations as proof of its unwavering commitment towards the security of the country. BSF made it clear that illegal activities on the border, especially smuggling of weapons and drugs through drones, will not be allowed to succeed under any circumstances.
