Amritsar: Border Security Force troops organised a medical camp for the border population in Amritsar. The medical camp was organised in collaboration with the GND Medical College.

In the medical camp, government hospital doctors, and specialists provided all kind of assistance to the patients who came from far-flung areas.

This initiative, aimed at benefiting the border population, represents a significant effort under the Vibrant Villages Programme. The camp was inaugurated by Sh S.S. Chandel, DIG BSF Amritsar, who reaffirmed the BSF’s commitment to the welfare of border communities.

In addition to offering medical services, a meeting was convened with local villagers to address their concerns. BSF as always, assured them of unwavering support and encouraged the community to actively participate in BSF’s efforts in combating cross-border crime and the menace of narcotics.

The event saw participation from patients across multiple villages, reflecting BSF’s enduring dedication to community health and safety. This camp follows a previous initiative where the BSF organized a free prosthetic hand fixation camp, benefiting 22 Divyang villagers.

The BSF remains steadfast in its commitment to similar welfare programs in the future, with a focus on the development and well-being of border populations.
