Jalandhar: A high level meeting was held today with senior officials of Punjab Police by the Border Security Force (BSF) regarding security on the border in Punjab. This was the first big level meeting of this year. This meeting was held at the BSF headquarters in Jalandhar, Punjab. Along with Punjab Police, BSF’s allied agencies were also present in the meeting.
In a high level joint meeting between BSF and allied organizations at BSF headquarters in Jalandhar, ADGP Nilabh Kishore of Anti Narcotics Task Force of Punjab Police and Border Security Force (BSF) IG of Punjab Range Dr. Atul Fuljele shared information with each other and made a future plan for security. In the meeting, mainly the problems faced in the year 2024 were resolved and security in the coming days were discussed in detail.
Important discussion on drug prevention
According to the information, the meeting mainly discussed curbing drug smuggling, addressing the growing threat of drone intrusion, enhancing border security mechanisms and intensifying efforts to conduct deep and strong checking in the second line of defense.
This collaborative effort underlines the commitment of the BSF and its partner organizations to protect the country’s borders and deal with the challenges arising from drug smuggling, drone threats and other international crimes.
