Amritsar: Border Security Force Troops in joint operation with Punjab Police recovered a drone along with one packet containing pistol parts. The search operation was carried out after the troops received specific inputs. The recovery of the drone and the pistol parts have been made in Amritsar.
On 12th August 2024, based on specific input, a joint search operation by BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab Police was launched. Search operation led to recovery of a drone along with one packet containing upper slide & barrel of a pistol from farming fields of village Rajatal in Amritsar district.
The consignment was wrapped with yellow coloured adhesive tape and a metal ring was also found attached with the packet.
The recovered drone has been identified as a China-made DJI Mavic 3 classic.
A reliable information and coordinated efforts of BSF and Punjab police successfully recovered yet another illicit drone alongwith weapon parts from across the border.
