Tarn Taran: Yesterday on 26th May 2024, based on information by BSF intelligence wing about the presence of heroin consignment in border area of district Tarn Taran, BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab Police promptly launched an extensive search operation in the suspected area.
The search culminated at about 02:00 pm with the recovery 01 packet of suspected #heroin (Gross weight- 530 grams).
The narcotics recovered were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a metal ring was found attached to the packet.
This recovery took place in a ditch on the outskirts of village- Dal in Tarn Taran district.
Swift action of #BSF troops and Punjab police on a reliable input once again successfully foiled narcotics smuggling attempt from across the border.
