Amritsar : On 3rd May 2024, during the evening hours, while carrying out kisan guard duty in the area ahead of border fence in district Amritsar, at about 05:20 pm vigilant BSF troops observed a pair of plastic slippers lying unattended in a harvested field.
On careful inspection of the slippers, it was found that 02 packets of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 435 gms approx) wrapped with yellow colour adhesive tape were concealed in soles of the slippers.
This recovery took place in a farming field nearby Village Bhindi Nain, in district Amritsar. Keen observation of alert BSF troops once again succeeded in retrieval of narcotics consignment made to smuggle in the country from across the border.
