BSF Punjab recovers packet of heroin and ammunition in Amritsar

On 17th June 2024, during a search operation in border area of Amritsar district, at about 10:20 pm, the BSF troops recovered one packet (gross weight – 570 grams) of suspected heroin.

Additionally, one round of 9×19 mm caliber ammunition was found inside the packaging. The narcotics were wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, along with an improvised ring and two illuminating strips.

This recovery took place in an area ahead of the border security fence, adjacent to the village of Kahangarh in Amritsar district. The prompt action by vigilant
