BSF recovers 9 packets of heroin in Fazilka

This recovery took place ahead of the fence, near Maharsona village, Fazilka district.

Fazilka: On 29th March 2024, during the morning hours, a BSF patrolling party observed suspected human footprints on the zero line ahead of the border security fence in the border area of Fazilka district.

 Subsequently, BSF troops, accompanied by narcotics sniffer dogs, initiated an extensive search operation in the area surrounding the suspected footprints, as contraband items may have been concealed there.

Heroin covered in socks recovered by BSF

At approximately 10:00 am, BSF troops successfully recovered 09 packets of heroin ( gross weight approximately – 09.5 kilograms), each filled separately in black-colored socks. This recovery took place ahead of the fence, near Maharsona village, Fazilka district.

The diligent and vigilant BSF troops have once again thwarted a nefarious attempt by Pakistani smugglers to smuggle narcotics across the Punjab border.
