Amritsar: Adding to its haul of recoveries, BSF today seized a Pakistan-based drone and heroin packet in two different incidents in the border area of district Amritsar and Gurdaspur, acting on information of BSF intelligence wing.
Acting on the information received, 01 drone, China made DJI Mavic 3 Classic in partially broken condition was recovered by the BSF troops at about 08:15 am, from a farming field adjacent to the village– Daoke of district Amritsar.
01 Packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 500 Grams) was recovered by BSF troops at about 11:30 am from a farming field adjacent to the village- Gurchak of Gurdaspur district. The narcotics were found wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a steel ring was also attached to the packet, confirming it as a drone dropping.
Reliable input of the BSF intelligence wing and timely action of BSF troops successfully thwarted yet another drone intrusion and a narcotics smuggling attempt from across the border.
