Amritsar: Border Security Force troops following an extensive search operation recovered one packet of heroin and other ammunition. The recovered ammunition are from Pakistan as the marking on it proves it to be.

On 3rd July’ 2024, based on specific input, BSF troops launched an extensive search operation. During the search operation, BSF troops recovered one Pakistani drone along with one suspected packet.

Upon opening of the packet, 2 Pistols, 4 Magazines and 40 rounds filled in the magazines were recovered. The marking on ammunition proves it to be made in Pakistan.

The packet was wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and 4 illuminating sticks were also attached with the packet, which was found tied to the drone.

This recovery occurred in a farming field adjacent to Nissoke village in Amritsar district. The recovered drone has been identified as a China made DJI Matrice 300 RTK.

The recovery reveals the evil designs of cross-border handlers to push weapons into India and disrupt the country’s peace. However, prompt action by the BSF troops resulted in a significant seizure of arms and ammunition smuggled via drone from across the border.
