Punjab: On 28th May, BSF troops conducted an extensive search operation in anticipation of a suspected narcotics consignment in the border area of district Amritsar.
During search, at about 06:14 am, BSF troops successfully recovered 01 packet (Gross weight- 500 Grams) of suspected heroin from the outskirt of village– Roranwala Khurd of district Amritsar.
The narcotics were wrapped in blue coloured polythene bag and a nylon ring was found attached with the packet. Attentive observation and dedication of diligent BSF troops once again proved their resolution to plug the entry of narcotics from across the border.
