BSF troops recover Heroin in Amritsar

Acting promptly, BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab police conducted an extensive search operation in the suspected area.

Border Security Force troops during a search operation recovered a packet of heroin here in Amritsar. The information has been shared by BSF in a release.

On 04th July 2024, during late evening hours, BSF intelligence wing shared information regarding presence of narcotics packet in the border area of district Amritsar.

Acting promptly, BSF troops in collaboration with Punjab police conducted an extensive search operation in the suspected area.

During the search operation, at about 09:25 pm, troops successfully recovered 01 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 550 grams) from the area adjacent to village- Roranwala Khurd in district Amritsar.

The narcotics were wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape and 01 metal ring along with an illuminating strip was found attached to the packet.

Reliable information of BSF intelligence wing and coordinated efforts of BSF troops with Punjab Police successfully recovered yet another consignment of narcotics sent from across the border.
