Ludhiana: In a shocking incident, A private company bus going from Haridwar to Jammu overturned in Ludhiana late at night. In this accident, 35 people including 3 children travelling in the bus have been reported badly injured. They have been admitted to the Civil Hospital of Ludhiana. One person died in the accident. The deceased has not been identified yet. The police have started investigating the case. It is also being said that some injured have been referred to PGI Hospital too given the serious injuries.
The accident took place on the national highway near Ludhiana Zoo Jalandhar bypass around 1 am last night. The bus was coming from Haridwar and was bound to Jammu and suddenly overturned on the highway. As per information, the tyre of bus punctured following which the bus overturned leaving many passengers injured. One passenger also died who has not been identified yet.
As soon as the bus overturned, there was panic and chaos all over. Hearing the screams of trapped passengers, passersby and people from nearby reached the spot and started evacuating people from the bus.
Injured Kuldeep, admitted in the hospital, said that there were about 48 passengers on the bus out of which about 35 people got injured. Police also reached the spot and started investigation after lodging the case.
