On Monday morning, a tourist bus collided with a tractor trolley carrying bricks in Jalandhar, Punjab. 2 people died in the accident, while 11 people were seriously injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The bus was going from Delhi to Jammu.
The deceased have been identified as Sukhwant Singh, a resident of Reasi, Jammu and Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Uttam Nagar, Delhi. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
According to the police, the bus of Ashok Bus Service was going from Delhi to Jammu Kashmir with passengers. Early in the morning, in Kala Bakra area in Bhogpur, Jalandhar, the bus collided with a tractor trolley going ahead. The trolley overturned. After this, there was screaming among the passengers sitting in the bus. People nearby immediately reached the spot. After this, the Bhogpur police station was informed about the incident.
Police took out the injured
As soon as the information was received, the Road Safety Force teams immediately reached the spot and started taking out the passengers. The bus driver Sukhwinder and passenger Kuldeep Singh had died on the spot. While Gurbadan Singh, Sunil and about 11 passengers were injured. Out of these, 6 people were admitted to Johal Hospital. Police moved the bus to the side of the highway with the help of a crane.
Police took the bodies of both the deceased into custody and sent them to the civil hospital for postmortem. At present, the cause of the accident is not clear. After investigation, the police will take appropriate action in the case. Also, the police has informed the injured and the family members of the deceased about the case.
