Bus conductor assaulted over ticket dispute in Jagraon, Gold chain and cash snatched

A case of assault on a bus conductor has come to light in Jagraon, Ludhiana on Wednesday evening.

Jagraon, July 17: A case of assault on a bus conductor has come to light in Jagraon, Ludhiana on Wednesday evening. A youth along with his friends assaulted him in a dispute over ticket. Roadways bus conductor Tejinder Singh was on a journey from Jagraon bus stand to village Malla.

According to the information, a boy and a girl were sitting in the bus. The girl took the ticket, but the boy refused to take the ticket. The conductor explained to him that the bus will not stop on the road and he will either have to buy a ticket or get off the bus stand.

A man boarded the bus from the other side

The boy got off first, but then boarded the bus from the other side. This time he took a ticket to Malla village. On the way he called his friends. The friends surrounded the bus and entered the bus and started beating the conductor.

Gold chain snatched from neck

The attackers snatched the gold chain from the conductor’s neck and tore the cash bag, which contained about Rs 7500. Other staff present in the bus rescued the conductor. The injured conductor was first taken to the hospital in village Hathoor, from where the doctors referred him to Jagraon.
