Chandigarh: Just before the Panchayat elections in Punjab, the Punjab government is holding a cabinet meeting today. Let us tell you that this is the first cabinet meeting after the reshuffle of five ministers in the cabinet. Earlier this meeting was to be held in Jalandhar, but then due to some reasons, the venue of the said meeting has been changed from Jalandhar to Chandigarh.
Now the meeting will be held at the CM residence in Chandigarh at 2 pm. Many important issues will be discussed in the meeting. By-elections of 4 assemblies are to be held in the coming days. However, no agenda has been issued regarding the meeting.

Earlier, a meeting was held on 2 September in which the government had increased the VAT on the rate of petrol and diesel. However, now the festival season is about to come. In such a situation, decisions will be taken in the meeting by the government keeping the people in mind.
