Canter collided with BMW in Patiala; two friends died, Canter driver arrested

According to the information received, on the complaint of Jatinder Singh, resident of village Rohad Jagir, the police has started investigation. The deceased have been identified as Jatinder Singh’s brother Sandeep Singh son Rai Sahib and his friend Lakhwinder Singh son Karnail Singh resident Rohad Jagir.

The police have taken the bodies of both of them into custody and sent them for post-mortem. Their post-mortem has been done. The BMW car belonged to Sandeep Singh. Which has been taken into custody by the police.

According to the information received, this accident happened last night between 2 to 2.30 am. Both the friends riding the BMW reached near Gurudwara Sahib Dera Ghule village Akbarpur Afghana at around 2 o’clock in the night. Where a canter driver overtook the car coming from the front while driving carelessly.

This caused the canter to hit Sandeep Singh’s car. Due to which his balance got disturbed and the car collided with another canter. In which both the people died on the spot. After the incident, passersby immediately gathered at the spot and Road Safety Force teams also reached the spot immediately.

Let us tell you that after the incident, SHO of Police Station Julkan Gurpreet Singh Bhinder reached the spot with his team for investigation. The police immediately took the bodies of both of them into custody and sent them for post-mortem.

The police have registered a case against the canter driver Om Prakash son of Kalu Ram resident of village Miranpur. Soon the police will present the accused in the court and take him on remand.
