Chandigarh: A case of a clash between two groups of prisoners has come to light in Chandigarh’s Burail jail. About seventy-eight prisoners from both groups are said to be injured in this. On the complaint of the jail administration, Chandigarh Police has registered a case against both groups. Right now, the police will file an application in court today for questioning both groups. After obtaining permission from the court, Chandigarh Police will take the accused into its custody for questioning.
One of the two groups in which this clash has taken place is associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. According to information received from sources in the jail administration, last year these accused had fired at the house of a businessman in Sector 5, Chandigarh, to demand extortion. They fired this bullet at the behest of terrorist Goldie Brar, sitting abroad. Later, the police arrested the accused. He has been lodged in Chandigarh’s Burail jail since then.
The youth of the other group involved in the fight is also accused of murder in Chandigarh. He is in jail on the charge of murder. It is being told that some time ago, there was a small fight between these two groups over some issues. Since then, there has been rivalry between the two groups. Now they have beaten each other due to the same old rivalry. The real reason for the fight will be revealed only after police interrogation. A case has been registered against them in Sector-49 Police Station of Chandigarh. The accused will be interrogated there.
